Silks Place Yilan is located on the 6th to 11th floors of the area’s premier shopping center – Luna Plaza. Silks Place Yilan is also very popular with locals as it is only about 45 minutes by car from Nangang and Xin-Yi Development District, Taipei, and 10 minutes drive away from Yilan train station. You can consider staying at courtyard marriot taipei which is just one station away from Songshan station where it takes about 90 minutes to connect to Yilan.
Conveniently situated next to the hotel is a sprawling shopping center, complete with a massive Carrefour supermarket located in the basement. Guests can easily access this retail paradise to stock up on essentials or indulge in a spot of retail therapy during their stay.
Arrival & Check In
Surprises await little guests who have booked the fantasy castle themed rooms that are spread out on kids’ dedicated levels 8 and 9.
Upon check-in, Hengboi gets to choose his favourite sports car and straightaway hit the track, which is actually the corridor, for an exhilarating race. Complete with traffic lights and parking spaces outside each room, this floor is a paradise for young racing enthusiasts.
The Room
We booked the Fantastic Castle Superior 6, which was situated on level 8. The rooms come equipped with kid’s tent, amenities, and complimentary mini-bar and snacks, which make a fantastic stay for family.
For my parents who don’t need a sports car and want to be away from the noisy car track, I booked for them a classic twin room which was on the 7th floor.

Wow Wow Land
Multiple indoor play areas are scattered across two floors, offering free-flow snacks and refreshments to keep little ones and parents energized and entertained throughout their stay.
Wow Wow Land offers a cowboy-themed experience for families, featuring three distinct sections for parents and children to enjoy.
Opening Hours: 9am to 11am and 1.30pm to 9.45pm.
The Fantasy Castle
The Fantasy Castle, situated on level eight, is a massive indoor play area with an array of attractions, featuring a bouncy castle, ball pit, race tracks and interactive games in a room, providing endless hours of fun for kids of all ages.
Operating hours are from 9am to 11am and from 3pm to 8:30pm, offering children ample opportunities for fun and entertainment throughout the day.
But the entertainment doesn’t stop there! There’s more for adult guests! Silk Place Yilan has a special arrangement with the adjacent cinema, allowing hotel guests to enjoy complimentary movie screenings by booking their preferred timing with the reception. It’s the perfect opportunity to unwind and catch the latest blockbuster without ever having to leave the comfort of the hotel. We took turn to watch movies!

We were very full and was so glad that we were staying in the hotel tonight. Of course, hengboi went back to take his car for a spin, and the poor me have to chase after his car while carrying hengboi2.
