Planning a trip to Bangkok with young children? Here’s our family-tested 7 Days Bangkok itinerary with kids featuring kid-friendly attractions, cafes with play areas, unique dining spots, and shopping — perfect for families with toddlers or preschoolers.
Day 1: Arrival & Check-in at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park
For solo travelers or those with light luggage, the Airport Rail Link is a great option—fast, cheap, and convenient. However, with kids and multiple suitcases, the hassle of navigating train stations, stairs, and crowds isn’t worth the savings.
When traveling with my kids, I always pre-book a private airport transfer via Klook (booking link here). While it is more expensive (about 600-800 THB), it saves the hassle of carrying luggage through train stations. After a long flight, it’s much more convenient to have a car waiting at the airport!

Thanks to Bangkok’s infamous traffic (remember to pack snacks for the little one to eat!), we reached Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park in the late afternoon, leaving us with limited time. So, we decided to take a short walk to EmSphere Mall for a quick look around. Luckily it was just walking distance from our hotel!

Check out what to eat and do around EM District!

Bangkok’s 7-Elevens are next-level. From gourmet ready meals to unique snacks, it’s impossible not to be spoilt for choice. The boys’ favorite was the prawn egg with rice, a dish that was surprisingly flavorful. For us, it was all about the toasties, freshly heated to crispy perfection. Who knew convenience store food could taste this good?

Day 2: Safari World Bangkok + HarborLand EmQuartier
We started the day with an exciting trip to Safari World Bangkok, about an hour’s drive from the city. The kids were in awe during the safari drive, spotting animals like giraffes and zebras up close. The live animal shows were a hit too

After a long but fun-filled day, the boys dozed off during the ride back. We headed back to EmQuartier for another 2 hours of fun at Harborland before returning to the hotel for dinner.

Day 3: Wonder Woods Cafe + SEA Aquarium @ Siam Paragon
The day kicked off with a visit to Wonder Woods Café—a hidden gem where the boys played to their hearts’ content while we enjoyed some much-needed coffee. It’s the perfect spot for families, combining a cozy café with a kid-friendly play area

We had lunch there before heading to Siam Paragon, one of Bangkok’s iconic malls.

While the boys explored the SEA Aquarium and Nintendo Store, I treated myself to a head spa at Treasure Spa in Siam Square One. Booking was a breeze via Klook, and honestly, the experience was heavenly. Bangkok’s massage scene has become so advanced—this spa day was the rejuvenation I needed.

Reunited with the boys, we ended the day with a delicious Japanese dinner at Grill Tokyo, a place known for its fresh sashimi and perfectly cooked teppanyaki. We hopped on the BTS back to the hotel using our Rabbit Cards, which are essential for a smooth ride.

Day 4: HarborLand One Bangkok + Kodtalay Seafood Buffet
We explored One Bangkok, the city’s newest lifestyle hub. It’s a stylish mix of shopping, dining, and open spaces, but the highlight for the boys was HarbourLand Indoor Playground. They burned off endless energy climbing, sliding, and exploring while we relaxed with a cup of coffee.

After a quick nap back at the hotel, we ventured out for dinner at Kodtalay Seafood. This place is known for its fresh, authentic Thai seafood. The crab curry and grilled prawns were standout dishes, and the kids loved the fried calamari.

Another Indoor Playground Day and I managed to sneak in some shopping! We headed to CentralWorld, a massive mall that truly has it all—from international brands to local souvenirs. While the boys enjoyed Playmondo and explored kid-friendly sections, we checked off items from our shopping list.
