Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park is one of the largest luxury hotels in the city, boasting 1,388 rooms, top-notch facilities, and a prime location near BTS Phrom Phong. Whether you’re visiting for business, leisure, or a shopping getaway, this 5-star hotel promises a premium experience. But does it truly live up to the hype?
During my stay, I was impressed by the spacious rooms, stunning city views, and diverse dining options—especially Goji Kitchen + Bar, which offers an extensive international buffet. The best part? In this review, I’ll cover everything—from check-in and room quality to dining experiences, amenities, and the hotel’s unbeatable location near Bangkok’s best shopping malls. Plus, I’ll share insider tips on how to save money on your stay, including the best deals on dining and transport. Let’s dive in!
Arrival and Check-in Process
After arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport, I opted to take the Airport Rail Link and BTS to reach the hotel, which is a cost-effective and relatively quick way to get into the city. You can read my full guide on the Bangkok Airport Rail Link for more details on navigating this route. For convenience, I highly recommend that you pre-book the Bangkok Rabbit Transport Card from klook so that you can pick it up from Suvarnabhumi Airport upon arrival.
Upon arriving at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, I was immediately impressed by the grand lobby. The check-in process was smooth, with friendly staff handling my booking efficiently. Since I had booked a standard room with breakfast included, I was given all the relevant details about meal times and hotel facilities.

The bell staff was prompt in assisting with luggage and directing me to the elevators.
About Hotel
Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park is one of the largest hotels in Bangkok, with over 1,388 rooms and suites. It is a Marquis-category Marriott, which means it belongs to the brand’s top-tier, large-scale convention hotels designed for both business and leisure travelers.
North & South Wing
The hotel has two wings: North Wing and South Wing, connected by a central area where the main lobby is located.
- North Wing: This section houses most of the guest rooms and suites, along with event and conference spaces. I stayed in this Wing.
- South Wing: This wing features additional guest rooms, dining venues, and executive facilities.
Because of its size and layout, the hotel is a preferred choice for large events, corporate conferences, and international meetings. Despite its scale, the hotel is well-organized, and navigating between the two wings is relatively easy.
Room Review: Spacious but Plumbing Issues

I stayed in a standard room, which turned out to be quite spacious compared to typical city hotels. The room design is modern, featuring a comfortable king-sized bed, a work desk, a lounge chair, and a floor-to-ceiling window with a partial city view. The smart TV, coffee machine, and minibar added a touch of luxury.
However, while the room was generally well-maintained, the bathroom plumbing left much to be desired:
- Toilet Issues: The flush broke twice during my stay, and I had to call maintenance to fix it. While the staff responded quickly, it was still inconvenient.
- Shower Pressure & Drainage: The water pressure was excellent, but the drainage system was poor, leading to flooding in the bathroom floor. After taking a shower, I had to use towels to soak up excess water, which wasn’t ideal.

Despite these issues, the bed was very comfortable, and I had restful sleep during my stay. If Marriott could improve the plumbing in their standard rooms, it would greatly enhance the guest experience.

Dining Options: Breakfast & Dinner at Goji, Drinks at ABar Rooftop
One of the highlights of my stay was the dining experience. Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park offers several restaurants, but I only tried a few:
Goji Kitchen + Bar (Breakfast & Dinner)
Breakfast: Included in my room rate, and I must say, the buffet spread was impressive! The selection included Western, Thai, Japanese, and Chinese cuisine. I enjoyed their fresh pastries, eggs made to order (do get their thai omelete!). Thai-style rice porridge and their unique Goji milkshake! There’s even live stations which serves grilled meat, noodles and hainanese chicken rice!

Dinner: I booked my dinner via the Eatigo app, which gave me a 50% discount—highly recommend checking for deals before dining! The dinner buffet had seafood like snow crabs, oysters and crayfish, grilled meats, live stations, and a dessert station. The seafood selection was especially fresh.

ABar Rooftop

For a relaxing evening, I went to ABar Rooftop, the hotel’s rooftop bar. It offers stunning views of Bangkok’s skyline and a great selection of cocktails. I tried their signature gin-based drink, which was refreshing and well-balanced. The ambiance was perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing.
Location & Nearby Attractions
The hotel’s location is a major advantage, especially for those who love shopping and exploring the city:
Shopping Malls: The hotel is near Emsphere, EmQuartier and Emporium (about a 10-minute walk). The malls have luxury brands, a gourmet food market, and plenty of dining options.

BTS Access: The nearest BTS station, Phrom Phong, is about a 10-minute walk, making it easy to access other parts of Bangkok.

Spa & Wellness: If you’re looking for a good massage, there are plenty of spas nearby, including high-end options like Let’s Relax Spa and local Thai massage places that offer affordable treatments.

Parks & Outdoor Spaces: The hotel is adjacent to Benjasiri Park, a great spot for a morning walk or an evening stroll.
You can easily walk to the various Shopping Malls via the park.

Final Thoughts: Worth Staying, But Room for Improvement
Pros:
✔️ Spacious and comfortable standard rooms
✔️ Excellent breakfast buffet at Goji Kitchen + Bar
✔️ Prime location near shopping malls and BTS station
✔️ Beautiful rooftop bar with city views
✔️ Friendly and responsive staff
Cons:
❌ Plumbing issues in the bathroom (toilet broke twice, poor drainage)
❌ Some areas of the hotel feel a bit dated
Overall, Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park is a solid choice if you’re looking for a comfortable and well-located stay in Bangkok. However, the bathroom plumbing issues were a letdown, and I hope the hotel addresses them in the future.
Would I stay here again? Yes, but I’d request a room that doesn’t have plumbing issues!
