Singapore’s beloved pink paradise, the Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC), just reopened its doors few days ago after a major revamp — and we couldn’t resist bringing our boys down for a sweet family outing. With new installations, unlimited ice cream stations, and iconic photo spots like the sprinkle pool and dragon playground, it sounded like the perfect weekend activity.
But was it worth the price tag for little ones? Here’s our honest review as a family with two young kids under 5.
Start Your Visit by Creating Your Own Ice Cream Name

The fun kicks off right at the entrance. Every visitor is invited to create their very own ice cream name. It could be your favourite dessert flavour, a fun topping, or something that reflects your personality.
We loved how even our little ones could grab a marker and stick their chosen names onto their shirts. It instantly sets the playful, whimsical tone for the rest of the visit. Look out for celebrity ice cream names on the wall too for inspiration!

Hengboi loved Cookies & Cream so called himself Lukies & Cream while Hengboi 2 loved chocolates so I choose Jai Chou for him (my idol jay chou lol).

What’s Included in Your MOIC Ticket?
Your standard ticket (from $46 per person) includes:
- Access to 12 uniquely themed ice cream installations
- Unlimited ice cream servings across 5 dessert stations
- Interactive play areas and photo spots
There’s also a premium add-on (+$10) for access to special ice cream flavours and drinks at the bar area — though frankly, we didn’t think it was worth it, especially when the regular options were already generous.
Singapore Resident Rates: From $39 on off-peak weekdays only (Note: no separate child ticket pricing currently).
Pro Tip: Book your tickets via Klook here and use my exclusive promo code HENGXKLOOK for up to 10% off your tickets! This worked for us and shaved a bit off the price — every dollar counts when you’re heading out with kids.
Highlights of the New Installations
Here’s a walkthrough of what you can expect at the revamped Museum of Ice Cream Singapore:
1. Ice Cream History Room
After getting your names, the first stop is a room dedicated to the history of ice cream. It’s surprisingly engaging, with interactive exhibits and trivia about how ice cream came to be a worldwide favourite. My kids loved the quirky visuals, though it’s more of a quick walkthrough for them.

2. Carnival-Themed Room with Games
Next, step into a carnival-themed wonderland complete with old-school games. Think mini basketball hoops and ring toss, all ice cream-themed of course. It’s a hit for kids who love some friendly competition.

3. Ice Cream Tasting Stations
This is what everyone comes for! There are 5 dessert stations scattered throughout the museum, offering everything from classic Potong ice cream to premium Denzy scoops and Ben & Jerry’s.

There are no lack of seating area throughout the different zones for you to take a break and to enjoy your sweet treats.

My personal favourite was the salted caramel from ben & jerry. The kids had their fill after two small servings though (more on that later in my verdict).

Note: Premium flavours cost an extra $10, but unless you’re a real ice cream connoisseur, it’s probably not necessary.
4. Art Installations: Bananas & Infinity Mirrors
Between ice cream stops, you’ll pass through various quirky rooms. The Banana Jungle Room is a total hit for photo ops, and the Infinity Mirror Room is just mesmerising. The kids were fascinated by seeing endless reflections of themselves holding ice cream cones!

5. Bouncy Castle Room
What’s better than a bouncy castle in an air-conditioned, pink-hued room? The kids burned off their sugar rush here while parents took a well-deserved seat nearby.

6. Playscape with Iconic Dragon Playground & Fruit Swings
This was hands down my boys’ favourite area. It’s a brilliant nod to Singapore’s heritage with a replica of the iconic dragon playground slide. Alongside it are oversized fruit swings and climbing structures — super photogenic and genuinely fun.

7. Postcard Writing Corner
Before the grand finale, kids can write a postcard to themselves or a loved one.

8. Sprinkle Pool Finale
No MOIC trip is complete without a dip in the Sprinkle Pool. It’s essentially a giant ball pit made to look like colourful sprinkles. It’s safe, fun, and a great way to cap off the visit.

Gift Shop & Souvenirs
Like all attractions, the final stop is a gift shop stocked with pink, sprinkle-covered merchandise — from tote bags to ice cream squishies. Expect to be tempted, especially if your kids spot the plushies.

Our Honest Verdict: Fun But Pricey for Young Kids
While the kids genuinely enjoyed the playful installations, games, and sprinkles, the steep price for little ones under 5 felt a bit excessive.
After two ice cream servings each, my boys were full — and naturally, I didn’t want them on a sugar high. It makes you think twice about paying full price for them when their ice cream intake and attention span are quite limited compared to older children or adults.
What Would Make It Better?
- A child ticket tier for kids aged 3–6 (at maybe $20–$25) would be a thoughtful move.
- Extending Singapore Resident rates to weekends and public holidays could also attract more local families, as these are the only days many can visit together.
Until then, it’s a lovely one-off family experience if you don’t mind the splurge — but I wouldn’t rush to make it a regular outing at these rates.
Final Tips Before You Go
- Pick a weekday afternoon slot if possible — it’s cheaper and less crowded.
- Dress comfortably — lots of climbing and bouncing for the little ones. Socks are not mandatory
- Keep an eye on younger toddlers in the sprinkle pool as it gets a bit chaotic on weekends.
- Use the toilet first before starting – the only toilet is in the lobby (starting point). It will be a long walk back if you need the toilet midway.
Would I Recommend It?
Yes — as a special treat or if you’ve never been before. The revamped Museum of Ice Cream Singapore is colourful, cheerful, and Instagrammable fun for kids and parents alike.
But if you’re budget-conscious or have very young kids, it’s worth waiting for promotions or hoping for more family-friendly pricing in the future.
