After a fun day shopping and playing at Hopewell Centre Mall in Wan Chai, we decided to hop on one of Hong Kong’s most nostalgic rides — the electric tram, lovingly called the “Ding Ding” 🛎️.

We boarded from Wan Chai and enjoyed a relaxing ride all the way to Causeway Bay, taking in the lively city sights from the upper deck. It was the perfect slow-down moment after a packed day — and the kids loved it too!

💡 The Hong Kong tram system has been running since 1904, making it one of the oldest electric tram systems in the world.

💡 You can hop on at the rear and pay a flat fare (HKD 3.30 for adults) when you exit at the front — super easy with Octopus card!
💡 Total route length: around 13 km, covering iconic areas like Central, Wan Chai, and Causeway Bay.
📍 Key routes include:

We highly recommend sitting on the upper deck at the front for the best city views — it’s like a mini sightseeing tour for a fraction of the price!
