Building up their immunity

When I get together with my girlfriends, the conversation inevitably turns to our kids getting sick in childcare. I’m quite used to it since Hengboi started infant care at 2 months old. It’s common to pay for a full month of school fees but only use two weeks of services because the other two weeks he’s at home sick. Now that he’s 4 years old, he rarely falls ill, and even when he does, he recovers quickly. Check out this post on what i usually gives when he starts to cough. Here’s what I give the boys every morning:

1. Biogaia Probiotics drops with Vitamin D3. You can get it from shoppee, which is definitely cheaper than retail stores. This helps to regulate their guts and build up their immune system. Added this into their milk when there were 2 months old (add only after the milk has cooled down, else it will destroy the live strains). When they turned 1, I dropped it into the Scott oil.

2. Scott’s Emulsion Original Cod Liver Oil is made from cod liver oil and contains Omega-3 fatty acids (DHA & EPA), Vitamin A, Vitamin D and Calcium. A serving of Scott’s Emulsion contributes to the recommended daily intake of omega 3 fatty acids (DHA & EPA). We started this at 1 years old.
