Our family had a delightful experience at Dino Park Mini Golf during our recent trip to Phuket. Staying at the Courtyard Marriott Patong Beach, we decided to spend a fun day outdoors at this themed mini-golf park. Here’s everything you need to know about our adventure!
Getting There
The journey from Courtyard Marriott Patong Beach to Dino Park Mini Golf is about 15 minutes by car. We called for a Grab ride, which cost us 240 baht—a convenient and affordable option. This saved us from the hassle of navigating local transport with young kids in tow.
Tickets and Admission
We bought our tickets via Klook, and I highly recommend it. The prices were significantly cheaper compared to onsite rates. The tickets included admission to the dinosaur park and access to the 18-hole mini-golf game. It was our first time playing mini-golf, and having such a unique setting made it even more special.

A Mini-Golf Adventure with a Jurassic Twist
Dino Park Mini Golf is a beautifully themed attraction that feels like stepping into a Jurassic world. The park is divided into several zones, each with its own dinosaur-themed setup. Gigantic dinosaur sculptures, moving animatronics, and loud roars coming from strategically placed speakers set the scene for an immersive experience. While I chose to visit during the day to avoid any nighttime scares for my boys (aged 2 and 5), the park at night is said to have an entirely different charm with atmospheric lighting. For us, daytime was perfect, though it was quite sunny. Remember to pack sunscreen, hats and Mosquito repellant!

One thoughtful touch I appreciated was that they had kid-sized golf clubs, even small enough for my 2-year-old! Watching him try to putt alongside his older brother was heartwarming.

Exploring the Zones
Each of the 18 holes in the mini-golf course offers a new challenge and a fresh dinosaur-themed design. Some highlights include:
Volcano Zone: A dramatic setup with a mini erupting volcano that had the boys fascinated.

Cave Zone: A darker area where we had to navigate through rock formations and low lighting.

Water stream Zone: Water Dinosaurs are mainly found here. It felt like we were in a jungle.

The course was thoughtfully designed to be both challenging and fun. It took us about 1.5 hours to complete all 18 holes, and we took plenty of breaks to snap photos with the life-sized dinosaur models. There are countless Instagram-worthy spots throughout the park!

Suggestions
While we thoroughly enjoyed the game, it would have been even better if there was an option for a brief coaching session. As first-time mini-golfers, a bit of guidance would have been helpful to start us off on the right foot.
Dino Dining at the Dinosaur Restaurant
After finishing the game, we decided to grab lunch at the Dinosaur Kitchen located on-site. The restaurant’s decor stayed true to the dinosaur theme, with cave-like interiors and dinosaur motifs. However, we were surprised to see only a few other customers during lunchtime.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. It was decent, but not memorable. If you’re visiting, I’d recommend stopping here for drinks instead of a full meal. If you know of any good food spots nearby, please share them in the comments—I’d love recommendations for our next visit!

Final Thoughts
Dino Park Mini Golf was a fantastic outing for our family, offering a mix of fun, adventure, and photo-worthy moments. The park is perfect for kids and adults alike, and its unique theme makes it a must-visit if you’re in Phuket.
Next time, we’ll likely stick to the mini-golf and skip the restaurant, perhaps trying a local eatery nearby instead. If you’re planning to visit, remember to book your tickets via Klook for the best deal, wear comfortable clothing, and bring along sun protection for a day visit.
