Homemade Baby Strawberry / Raspberry Chia Jam

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raspberry or strawberry
  • 2 tbsp water for fresh fruit, 1 tbsp water for frozen food
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

Steps

  1. Combine fruit, water and lemon juice in a saucepan over medium heat and let it boil
  2. The fruit will start releasing liquid. Reduce the heat the simmer for 7 minutes. Use a fork to mash up large chunks of fruit
  3. Remove from heat and stir in chia seeds
  4. Allow the mixture to sit for about 10 minutes, letting the chia seeds soak up the liquid.
  5. Once cooled completely, transfer the jam to a glass container.
  6. Store the jam in the fridge for 5-7 days or freezer for 3 months
