Exploring the Charm of Chingjing Farm: A Tranquil Retreat in the Mountains
After checking out of the hotel, we proceeded to Chingjing Farm – Green Green Grasslands 青青草原. We have been here as a couple more than 10 years back and felt that our children would enjoy the farm too.
Qingjing Farm offers a myriad of activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy. Here are some of the highlights:
Sheep Grazing: One of the iconic sights at Qingjing Farm is the vast expanse of lush greenery dotted with grazing sheep. Visitors can witness these gentle creatures in their natural habitat, offering ample opportunities for photography and serene contemplation. You can purchase animal feeds from the various vending machines stationed throughout the farm. Be careful if you have young kids with you because the sheep’s literally charged at hengboi2 when they saw feeds in his hand.
Flower Viewing: Admire the vibrant blooms that adorn Cingjing Farm throughout the year. From colorful tulips in spring to cheerful sunflowers in summer and delicate cherry blossoms in winter, the farm’s floral displays offer a feast for the senses.
Sheep Shearing Show: Qingjing Farm also provides visitors with splendid interactive shows like Sheep Shearing Show and Horse Riding Show. This educational and entertaining show provides insight into the traditional practices of sheep farming. As we were there on a weekday, we didn’t get to catch the show.
Local Cuisine: Savor the flavors of the region with a variety of local delicacies available at Qingjing Farm. After a day of exploration, visitors can also venture to nearby attractions such as the Swiss Garden and indulge in a unique dining experience at Carton King, where everything from tables to utensils is crafted from cardboard. We have been to swiss garden during the previous trip and decided to skip it this time round as we felt there’s nothing special about the place
Lunch at 蘇媽媽汤圆
Next, we made our way down the mountain for a pitstop to have lunch at 蘇媽媽汤圆. 蘇媽媽 is a 30-year-old restaurant in Puli popular for its glutinous rice balls. Aside from their glutinous rice balls, we also enjoyed other dishes like Ru Rou Fan 卤肉染，Wanton Soup, Braised Tofu and Egg.

We continued our journey towards our next destination, which was approximately an hour away, allowing our boys to nap along the way.

The place doesn’t take in reservation
星月天空 is a beautiful park with spectacular views (if weather permits) and a great place to bring your kids to as the park is very spacious for them to run around and there are many animals like goats, turtle, rabbits , fishes for them to feed
Admission Fee: peak period NT$200, off peak NT$150 , you can offset NT$50 off your dining bill for every paying ticket. Not applicable to animal feeds purchased at the restaurant l. Kids under 90cm enters free.
I enjoyed this farm the best as it isn’t as crowded as the farms we visited so far, and there are many animals to interact with. The day view and night week are awesome!
We spent approximately 4 hours there and hence managed to catch the night view as well. It was so pretty when the whole place was lited up with led lights. The journey to our hotel in Taichung took about 40 minutes. As it was quite late, I decided to order our dinner via uber eat to be delivered to our hotel.
