Legoland Resort Malaysia Review: The Ultimate Stay for Families

Legoland Resort Malaysia offers a fun-filled experience for families, combining an exciting hotel stay with direct access to Legoland Malaysia, SEA Life, and the Water Park. Our recent stay at the Adventure-themed room was an unforgettable experience for both kids and adults. Here’s a detailed review covering everything from the lobby experience to room details, facilities, and dining options.

Lobby & Check-In Experience

From the moment you step into Legoland Resort Malaysia, you’re greeted with a colorful and playful atmosphere. The lobby is designed to keep kids entertained while parents check in. There’s a Lego play area where children can build and play freely, setting the tone for an immersive Lego-themed stay.

The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was friendly and efficient. Be sure to look out for the giant Lego models scattered around the lobby—great for photo opportunities!

Room Types & Our Adventure-Themed Stay

Lego sets in the room for the kids to play with!

Legoland Hotel offers several themed rooms to choose from:

  • Pirate Room – A swashbuckling adventure for young pirates.
  • Kingdom Room – Fit for little princes and princesses.
  • Ninjago Room – Perfect for ninja warriors.
  • Adventure Room – Designed for young explorers.

We stayed in the Adventure-themed room, which was perfect for our family of five. The room featured:

  • 1 Queen Bed + Bunk Bed – Ideal for big families.
  • Lego play corner – Kids had access to Lego bricks right in the room.
  • In-room Treasure Hunt – A fun puzzle-solving activity where kids unlock a treasure chest and win a Lego prize!
  • Lego-themed decor – Everywhere you look, there are Lego details to enhance the experience.

The room was spacious and comfortable, making it a perfect retreat after a long day at the theme parks.

Swimming Pool & Facilities

One of the highlights of our stay was the swimming pool, which was full of giant Lego floats. The kids had a blast building and playing in the water. If you’re there near sunset, the view from the pool is stunning, creating a magical experience.

Dining Options & Breakfast Review

The room rate included breakfast, but honestly, it was nothing special. While there was a decent selection of Western and Asian dishes, it didn’t quite stand out compared to other family-friendly hotels.

For better dining options, we recommend heading out to:

  • Medini Mall – Conveniently located next to Legoland, but limited food choices. For families with Kid, you can consider the Chicken Rice Shop or The Secret Recipe.
  • Eco Galleria & Eco Botanic – A short drive away, offering a variety of restaurants and cafes. Check out out recommendations in this post here!
  • AEON Bukit Indah – A shopping mall with many dining options, perfect for families. Check out out recommendations in this post here!

Alternative Accommodation: Sunway Big Box Hotel

If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly stay but still want a comfortable experience, Sunway Big Box Hotel is a great alternative. It’s just a short drive from Legoland and offers modern rooms at a lower price.

Final Thoughts

Legoland Resort Malaysia is a fantastic place to stay for families visiting the theme park. The immersive Lego experience, fun facilities, and themed rooms make it worth the visit, especially for young children. While the breakfast and dining options could be better, the hotel’s proximity to nearby restaurants makes up for it.
