Arrival and Check-In Process
Our journey to Natra Bintan began with a smooth transfer from Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal, where a friendly resort representative greeted us.
The 5 mins drive to the resort set the tone for a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Check-in was quick, and the warm hospitality from the staff made us feel right at home.
Family-Friendly Accommodation
Natra Bintan’s glamping tents are designed with families in mind. Each tent features air-conditioned comfort and luxurious touches, creating the perfect blend of camping and modern convenience.
We stayed in the Jacuzzi Tent, which was a hit with the kids! The room included a cozy indoor air-conditioned area for relaxing and an outdoor bath area with a private jacuzzi. The spacious setup ensured everyone had plenty of room to unwind.
Activities for Kids
Natra Bintan truly caters to families, offering plenty of activities to keep kids entertained throughout the stay.
Painting Activities: Held in the resort’s lobby, these sessions allow kids to get creative while parents enjoy a break or join in the fun.
Lagoon Activities: As part of Treasure Bay Bintan, the resort gives you access to Southeast Asia’s largest man-made seawater lagoon. Activities like paddleboarding, kayaking, and the floating obstacle course are perfect for adventurous kids. A representative is stationed at Natra Bintan’s tour desk to help with bookings.
We visited the Water Play Center, where the kids had a blast on the floating obstacle course in the lagoon. The 90-minute session, priced at 312,000 IDR, was full of climbing, sliding, and laughter, making it one of the highlights of our trip. Note that only 5 yo and above can participate in this activity.
Relaxation for Parents
While the kids were busy with activities, parents can take turns relaxing and recharging. The resort offers excellent massage services, and we treated ourselves to a 2-hour massage that cost 1 million IDR. The spa’s serene ambiance and professional therapists made it a truly rejuvenating experience. Taking turns allowed us to unwind while still ensuring the kids were well-entertained.
Dining: Options for the Whole Family
Natra Bintan has one on-site restaurant – Patio Restaurant, serving local and international dishes, perfect for satisfying diverse tastes. We took our breakfast (included in room rate) and lunch here. Hopefully there will be more options near the resort in future!
Breakfast: A Great Start to the Day
The breakfast buffet, featured a mix of Western favorites like eggs, sausages, and toast, as well as local delights such as nasi goreng and the ever-popular Indomie noodles.
What stood out was the kids’ section, thoughtfully set up with child-sized dishes and utensils so kids could independently pick their favorite foods.
Lunch at Patio Restaurant and Bar
We ordered from the ala-carte menu, which offers Western and Local dishes for lunch. You can view the menu here.
Amon Bintan Restaurant
We had initially planned to visit a nearby kelong for a seafood dinner, but a sudden downpour changed our plans. Instead, we headed to Amon Bintan Restaurant next door, which offered a cozy indoor setting and delicious food. It was a convenient and enjoyable alternative that the entire family appreciated.
For those keen on a kelong dining experience, the resort’s tour desk can assist with arrangements, including transportation and reservations—just keep an eye on the weather!
Barbecue Dinner at Our Tent
One of the most memorable meals of our trip was a barbecue dinner served at our tent. The resort offers this as a unique dining experience, where a variety of grilled meats, seafood, and vegetables are prepared and served right at your doorstep. We were lucky that the weather was perfect that evening—we could see stars! The staff set up a cozy dining area outside our tent with lights, adding a charming touch to the atmosphere. The kids loved the idea of having a “campfire-style” dinner, and grilled their own marsh mellows. The freshly grilled prawns and tender meats were a hit with everyone.
