Nestled amidst the misty mountains of Cingjing, Taiwan, lies the charming Chingjing Abin Minshuku. As we checked in quite late at night, we could only catch a glimpse of the surroundings by the limited lighting. It wasn’t until the morning light filtered through the curtains that we were greeted by the full splendor of the mountain views, a sight that took our breath away despite the cloudy skies
We opted for a room with two queen beds and an indoor slide, much to the delight of our boys. It quickly became their favourite spot, making it challenging for them to settle down for sleep and the first thing they gravitated towards upon waking up.
While our previous stay – Misty Villa, was closer to amenities like the Swiss Garden with its convenience shops and restaurants like the Carton King, this time we chose a location further up the mountain. We read reviews that travellers were able to enjoy starry night sky and breathtaking mountain views from their rooms. However, Mother Nature had other plans for us, as our stay coincided with heavy cloud cover, obscuring the stars and limiting visibility of the majestic peaks.
Another highlight of our stay at Chingjing Abin Minshuku was the breakfast experience. Personally prepared by the gracious lady boss herself, each morning brought a delightful spread of simple Taiwanese fare that was as delicious as it was comforting. The personal touch extended beyond the food, as the lady boss took the time to check in with us, ensuring that we were satisfied with our meal. It was a heartwarming gesture that added an extra layer of warmth to our stay.
In addition to the comfortable accommodations and stunning views, Chingjing Abin Minshuku offers convenient access to nearby attractions such as the Cingjing Farm and Hehuan Mountain. Whether you’re looking to explore the natural beauty of the area or simply unwind amidst the tranquil surroundings, this charming guesthouse provides the perfect base for your adventures in Cingjing.
Despite the disappointment of missing out on the anticipated stargazing experience, our time at Chingjing Abin Minshuku was still filled with joy and wonder. The cozy accommodations, coupled with the indoor slide that brought endless laughter and excitement to our boys, made for a truly memorable stay amidst the misty mountains of Cingjing.
