Hilton Singapore Orchard Family Stay
We recently embarked on a mini-adventure with our two munchkins to the fabulous Hilton Singapore Orchard to celebrate hengboi2 birthday and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight from start to finish! Allow me to share our unforgettable experience at this cozy hotel nestled in the heart of the bustling city
Pre-arrival Process
I have to give a shoutout to the pre-arrival customer service at Hilton Singapore Orchard because, wow, it was awesome! I mean, how cool is it that I could inform them of our room requests via WhatsApp? And let me tell you, they were incredibly responsive, making sure everything was just right for our arrival. The hotel honoured my Hilton Gold status, and we were able to book a deluxe room and got an amazing upgrade to the Premium King City View room.
Check in Process
Check-in was fast and our room was ready at 12pm. We were surprised that kids were given a drawstring bag with kids’ amenities
The Room
There are two wings and our room is located at the Mandarin Wing. With a size of approximately 29 sq.m / 312 sq. Ft., the space is decent for our family of 2A and 2 children (2 and 5 years old). Important features when we look for room is the presence of a long sofa (for the poor husband to sleep) and a bathtub, which provides endless fun for the kids (and peace for the parents). The room also comes with WiFi, 55-inch TV, city views, Nespresso coffee machine, separate bathtub and shower, mini bar.
Hotel Facilities
As with all staycation, we visited the pool and it was probably the only disappointment with this hotel. Probably we were too spoilt with pools like at Shangri-La Orchard. The pool was rather small but nonetheless we had fun with our floats and toys.
Breakfast
Ah, the breakfast spread at Hilton Singapore Orchard was truly a culinary delight! Alongside the vibrant kids’ corner and freshly prepared juices, there was a mouthwatering selection of eggs cooked to perfection. Whether you preferred them scrambled, sunny-side-up, fluffy omelette filled with your favourite toppings or eggs benedict draped with velvety hollandaise sauce and topped with a slice of savory ham.
From classic breakfast staples like crispy bacon and fluffy pancakes to indulgent treats like French toast and waffles, there was something for everyone to enjoy. And with attentive staff ensuring that every detail was just right, our breakfast experience at Hilton Singapore Orchard was nothing short of extraordinary.
Location
The location of Hilton Singapore Orchard couldn’t have been more perfect. Situated smack dab in the middle of Orchard Road, it felt like we were at the center of all the excitement. The kids were absolutely thrilled to be surrounded by so many shops, restaurants, and of course their favorite indoor playgrounds.

We went to Pirate Land at Centrepoint, which was a 5 minutes walk from Hilton. Pirate Land seems to be a suitable indoor playground for toddlers. In this case, it was very suitable for my boys. It offers a variety of play zones, including a ball pit, small slides, and different play areas like LEGO, kitchen play, and car tracks. The weekend entrance fee, which includes three hours of playtime, is a convenient option for families looking for entertainment.
There’s an abundance of dining options within walking distance from the Hilton, ranging from food courts to restaurants offering various cuisines from around the world. One local gem worth mentioning is Great Nanyang at 111 Somerset. Be sure to sample their signature coconut coffee, delectable French toast, and flavorful dry mee siam.
Conclusion
In conclusion, our time at Hilton Singapore Orchard was nothing short of magical. From the upgraded Premium King City View room to the impeccable service and stunning views, it was the perfect place for our family staycation. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
