What we did at AEON Tebrau
AEON Mall Tebrau City offers a wide variety of retail outlets, making it a paradise for shoppers.
AEON Department Store
A one-stop shop for clothing, groceries, and household items. I always get my groceries done here as well. The AEON supermarket is well-stocked, and I make sure to grab Huggies disposable swim diapers—they are cheaper here compared to back home! Also the Organic Noodles and Wet Wipes haha! I also buy a lot of clothes for the boys, as the variety is great and the prices are reasonable.
Toys ‘R’ Us
The boys love visiting here, but we stick to window shopping since prices are similar to back home.
Mr. Toy
We enjoyed shopping at Mr. Toy as it offers a more affordable option for toy shopping. We tend to allow them to purchase some toys here!
Siam Oasis
A massage place not to be missed! Go for leg massage or Aromatherapy Massage to ease your muscle tension! With Kids, we could only do a relay system where we took turn going for massage while the other parent look after the kids. So engaging them at mall that has indoor playground definitely helps!
TGV Cinemas
A state-of-the-art movie theater where you can catch the latest blockbusters. We would love to catch movies here but will have to wait for Hengboi2 to be older so that he will be a disturbance.

- Lavender Bakery – Huge selection of bread, pastry and cakes! My must visit bakery whenever I’m in JB! Sign up for membership to accumulate points to exchange for vouchers
- Sephora & Watsons – For beauty and personal care needs.
- H&M, Uniqlo, Cotton On – Fashion stores catering to the entire family.
- Electronic Stores – Featuring gadgets, home appliances, and the latest tech innovations.

What we ate at AEON Tebrau
After a shopping spree, visitors can enjoy a variety of dining options ranging from local Malaysian delights to international cuisine. Some of the restaurants we tried include:
Oriental Kopi
The popular restaurant serving local cuisine. We had lunch here and the kids enjoyed the nasi lemak! They have many outlets which I believe the most popular one is at City Square which always had long queue! Try the Ban Mian, Dry Mee Siam, Prawn noodles and the egg tarts!
Haidilao
We had hotpot here! Order the tomato base its so yummy! The price is so much more affordable but I find that it’s not as friendly as compared to back home where I could request for kids meals and kids scissors!
Chagee
A great spot for tea lovers, with less queue and more affordable prices than in Singapore.
Other Dining Options
We only spent a day at AEON but would definitely be back as there’s much more other dining options to try!
- Seoul Garden & BBQ Town – Great for those who love Korean and buffet-style dining.
- The Chicken Rice Shop & Nando’s – Hearty meals for the entire family.
- Secret Recipe & Baskin Robbins – Treat yourself to some delicious dessertss

Indoor Playgrounds
If you’re visiting with kids, AEON Mall Tebrau City, you must check out the various indoor playgrounds!
Fanpekka
Fanpekka is a unique Finnish-inspired indoor playland that combines fun and learning through imaginative play. Unlike regular indoor playgrounds, Fanpekka focuses on role-playing and social interaction, allowing kids to experience different scenarios, from running a store to exploring a giant ship.

Inflatable Boat with Ball Pit
We also noticed another smaller playground at the basement but we didn’t have time to explore! It looks like a playground suitable for smaller kids like hengboi2 who is 2 years old. If you do visit, please do let me know if its worth going the next time!
Star Kids
STAR KIDS is an exciting new indoor playground concept by AEON Fantasy! Designed to promote fitness and health among children, STAR KIDS features a gym and sports-based play area equipped with top-quality facilities tailored just for kids. It also offers a dedicated fitness classroom, providing a fun and engaging space for children to stay active and healthy!
We spent almost an entire day at Fanpekka that we didn’t have the time to explore other playgrounds! We will definitely be back for this!
How to Get There
Location: AEON Mall Tebrau City, Johor Bahru, Malaysia
- By Car: Approximately 20 minutes from JB city center. We stayed at Renaissance JB and it took us about 15 minutes by car to reach here.
- By Public Transport: Accessible via bus and taxi services from the city. You can easily get grab car to travel within places.
- Nearby Attractions: With Toppen Shopping Centre right next door, visitors can explore even more shopping and entertainment options.
